About Amaya
Amaya enjoys collaborating with other musicians. In 2024, she gave her first solo recital performing a wide variety of pieces from classical to jazz styles. Her recital also featured collaborative performances with professional musicians on violin and vocals. In her career to date, she has produced two CDs. In 2017 she released Music by Amaya. During COVID she released her second CD, Christmas with Amaya.
Piano has been Amaya's vehicle of self-expression since she started taking formal lessons at the age of eight. Amaya has had the privilege of studying piano for 15 years under the tutelage of Dr. Jeff Leigh. Faced by immune challenges early on and later anxiety, she brings neurodiversity to the forefront. She embraces individuality and believes in inclusion. Amaya draws inspiration from great artists such as Andrea Bocelli, Lauren Daigle, The Piano Guys and Lang Lang. Original compositions reflect her dreams, hopes and struggles.
Amaya enjoys bringing joy and healing to others through her music. In 2023, Amaya played for cancer patients at the UF Proton Center in Jacksonville for six weeks.
She currently plays at venues in Naples, Florida such as The Capri Inn and Chez Boet. Amaya is available to play at private parties, fundraising events, restaurants, weddings and more.
In her spare time Amaya enjoys swimming, snorkeling, composing, reciting poetry and playing board games with her friends and family.
